Compost acceleration / Residue decomposition

Natur Composter

Compost accelerator — two-component microbial preparation

A two-component microbial compost accelerator: cellulose-degrading bacterial strains and a lignin-degrading fungal additive. It speeds up the breakdown of leaves, crop residues and woody prunings, in garden and farm-scale compost alike.

💧Dose:For compost 300 ml/m³ (200 ml bacteria + 100 ml fungus, in min. 5 L of water); for manure treatment 3 / 4.5 / 6 L per 20–50 t
📅Shelf life:6 months in the original, sealed packaging, in a cool, dry, frost-free place (ideally at 5 °C)

Product description

Natur Composter
Compost accelerator

A two-component microbial preparation for faster compost maturation. The cellulose-degrading strains of the bacterial component and the lignin-degrading species of the fungal component work together to process leaves, crop residues and woody prunings. Suitable for home gardens, orchards, vegetable growing and arable fields alike.

Composition

Bacterial component (min. 2×10⁹ CFU/cm³): Paenibacillus macerans, Paenibacillus amylolyticus, Paenibacillus polymyxa, Cellvibrio flavescens

Fungal component (5×10⁶ CFU/cm³): Trichoderma harzianum, Phanerochaete crysosporium, Flammulina velutipes

Mechanism of action

  • Compost acceleration — cellulose-, hemicellulose- and lignin-degrading capacity; it also processes hard-to-decompose woody material
  • Residue decomposition — stem and root residues break down within 4–5 months
  • Nitrogen fixation — fixing atmospheric nitrogen (40–60 kg N/ha/season)
  • Phosphorus and potassium mobilization — releasing bound reserves and the nutrients of plant residues
  • Biocontrol — Trichoderma harzianum suppresses soil-borne pathogenic fungi
  • Soil structure — forms EPS aggregates → improved water retention and drought tolerance

Application guide

Dosage for compost

Per cubic metre, mix 200 ml of the bacterial component with 100 ml of the fungal component (2:1 ratio) and dilute with at least 5 litres of water.

Compost Bacterial component Fungal component Dilution water
1 m³ 200 ml 100 ml min. 5 L
5 m³ (1 L + 0.5 L pack) 1 L 0.5 L min. 25 L
10 m³ (2 L + 1 L pack) 2 L 1 L min. 50 L

The treatment can be repeated monthly until the compost is finished.

Application to compost

  • Spray or pour the prepared mixture onto the plant residues within 1–2 hours
  • Work in calm weather, without direct sunshine, between 10 and 20 °C
  • The optimal pH range is 5.5–7.0
  • Do not use high-pressure sprayers, as they damage the microorganisms

Arable and horticultural doses (bacteria + fungus together)

Use Dose (total) Water requirement
Manure/compost treatment (per 20–50 t) 3 / 4.5 / 6 L/ha min. 20 L/ha

Breakdown of the dose levels

  • 3 L/ha: 2 L bacterial component + 1 L fungal component
  • 4.5 L/ha: 3 L bacterial component + 1.5 L fungal component
  • 6 L/ha: 4 L bacterial component + 2 L fungal component

Important information

  • Minimum soil temperature: 6 °C
  • On arable land, incorporation within 24 hours is required
  • Do not mix with copper- or zinc-containing plant protection products
